L00039 Changes in Properties of an X60 Pipe as a Consequence of Applying a Thin-Film Epoxy-Resin Coating

In the application of thin-film epoxy coatings, pipe is heated up to 450 F for as long as 1 hour. To determine the effects, if any, this thermal treatment has on X60 pipe, the properties of two adjacent 3-foot long sections of 30-inch diameter X60 pipe were compared. One pipe had been epoxy coated at a commercial coating facility.
