L51481 AE Monitoring by Experimental and Theoretical Evaluation of Wave Propagation

A detailed analytical model of a buried pipeline was derived and numerically exercised to evaluate frequency spectra, group velocities, amplitude ratios, axial power flow parameters and soil damping coefficients to determine parameters regarding optimum AE inspection. The analytical and experimental results of this program are described in this report.
