L51968 Improved Methods for the Assessment of the Remaining Strength of Corroded Pipelines (Phase 4)

The project has been aimed at improving the approach for assessing the remaining strength of pipelines containing corrosion metal loss defects. Phase 1 of the project consisted of a comprehensive review of existing assessment methods, together with a collection of results from relevant experimental tests.Phase 2 of the project, provided a Guidance Document recommending methods to be used for assessing the integrity of corroded pipelines. A PC based software program (CORAM - Corrosion Assessment Methods for Pipelines) for applying the assessment methods recommended in the Guidance Document was completed for Phase 3 of the project.
