To date, 278 full-scale pipe tests have been conducted. Of these 86 have been tests of through-wall defects, 45 have been tests of defects partway through the wall, and 147 have been special-purpose tests involving defects such as gouges and dents, corrosion, and others. The diameters of the pipe materials examined have ranged from 6-5\/8 inches through 42 inches and the wall thicknesses have ranged from 0.188 inch through 0.875 inch.
