PR-164-124511-R01 Quality of ERW-HFI Pipe

Driven by a concern with regard to the reliability of currently supplied ERW/HFI seam welded line pipe PRCI wished to identify issues and ways of preventing problems from occurring during manufacture which could be incorporated in line pipe specifications. To this end, this report compiles and documents an understanding of the process and best practice in order to minimize delivery of poor quality ERW/HFI welded pipe to the field. This document includes a review of published literature, information derived from responses to the questionnaires as well as recommendations which were determined after reviewing all the information.
