PR-405-113604-R01 Develop a New Unique AC Corrosion CP Mitigation Criterion
$250.00
This project aims to identify the most appropriate AC corrosion criteria based on literature data and analyses. In total 67 papers were reviewed in order to identify mechanisms of AC induced corrosion on pipelines under cathodic protection and possible stray current interference. The fundamental principles of AC corrosion form the basis for the ACCorSolver software developed by Elsyca. The software is explained and its capabilities are briefly discussed. The modeling software can be used to predict up-front the risk of AC corrosion. In this project the ACCorSolver was used to study the effect and sensitivity of the different parameters of AC corrosion.
